Treatment Of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder And Intrusive Thoughts

What Is Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?

Obsessive-compulsive disorder is a group or collection of symptoms which include intrusive thoughts which keep entering a person’s head and usually causing distress or discomfort. An example is a recurrent intrusive thought which keeps coming your head that you have forgotten to turn off the lights, even though rationally you know that you have turned them off, and checked twice.  An intrusive thought can also cause a compulsion to keep checking the lights recurrently. Compulsions can cause intense anxiety.
